Wizdom Quote

We all have that one person that remains in our past which we regret losing a bond with due to something so silly. We cannot face the fact that they are no longer a part of us. However, us as people have to do certain things in order to be happy. The following is a quote that helped me get over some people in my past:

“We ignore each other and try to pretend the other doesn’t exist, but deep down we both know it wasn't suppose to end like this.”

I like the pun that was unintended because after something happens you should not try and get back with someone when it is too late. I feel like this reflected my situation with my first crush. However, he came back and said sorry for everything and now we are really close friends which is somewhat good I guess.

Wizdom Quote

We all have that one person that thinks they can get you whenever they want. Sometimes we go back and sometimes we do not because we know that they have not changed. That is why I never believe anything someone says to me when it comes to them expressing their emotions about me. The following is a quote that reminded me of my attitude towards certain people:

“Don’t say you miss me, when it’s your fault I’m gone.”

I like the way the author uses some sort of attitude in the quote. I feel like it is something a girl would say to a guy that is trying to get back into their life after making so many mistakes. I always say this to someone that tries to get back into my life after doing something so wrong. I do not care how many times they miss me I will never take them back.

Many time we cut people out of our lives that we believe are unnecessary to have because of all the problems they have caused us. However, those people we cut out still have some sort of feelings toward us just like we do too. The best thing to do to those people is show them that you are doing better than ever The following quote is something I live by:

“The best revenge is to move on and get over it. Don’t give someone the satisfaction of watching you suffer.”

I like how the authors tone seems rather vague. I feel like that because it is telling people straight forward that they basically need to get over certain things to show the world that they are doing better. I feel like this reflects me because I never let anyone watch me suffer.

Mr. Vargas's Quote

I am not a fan of girls being mistreated by guys. I especially hate it when girls are to blind to see and understand when a boy actually cares for them or not. My best friend always tells me that if a boy really does care about you, they will never treat you wrong. The following quote always reminds me of what my best friend says to me:

“If he really loves you, he wouldn’t put through so much.”

The author makes the quote short and simple in order to make the point of the quote come straight across. The quote makes you think, I feel like that's the purpose of the quote. Many times girls do not deeply think about their relationships with their boyfriend, that is why they are unable to see the "love."

Fabolous, "Pachangas"

As we continue on with our voyage known as life, we experience a lot of changes along the way. Those people we get close with change as well. The changes that we experience can be for the better or the worst. Most of the time we hope that our loved ones do not change. However, everything sooner or later experiences a change. The following is a verse from a song that pretty much gives a brief example of change:


"A thug changes and love changes 
And best friends become strangers"


I like how the author uses different examples to show and prove that just about everything and anything changes. I also like how it is short and simple in order to make the quotes purpose straight and to the point. I also like how it says that best friends become strangers in order to prove that when things change people fade away.

Tumblr Quote

Throughout life we meet someone that is like no one we have ever met. We sit and just picture how our future life and how strong the bond we share with that special someone will be. However, negative situations occur and cause that bond to break. I believe that no negative situation should break a special bond you have with someone. The following is a quote that I found on Tumblr that expresses exactly how I feel:

The author uses short and long sentences in his syntax in order to make the quote meaningful and inspirational. I really like how the quote makes you think about certain people in your life. I feel as though the quotes purpose is to make you reflect on your friends or that special someone you have in your life.

Wizdom Quotes

Most of the time us humans look at what is on the outside rather then what is on the inside. If beauty is one of the qualities someone must suit in order for them to share a companionship with you, you are wrong for that. Sometimes the most beautiful people are actually the most ugly. Peoples personalities are what make them stand out from everyone in the world. The following quote pretty much explains what I mean:








"Some people are beautiful, not in their looks or in what they say, but who they are."




The author uses commas to make the quote a bit dramatic in order to make you think about people. I like how it says people should not be categorized because of how they look or what they say. I feel as though people should be defined by their personality because that truly defines someone.

Albert Einstein Quote

Everyday we learn something, we can never prevent learning from following us. It is pretty amazing how everyday no matter how busy, tired, mad, or sad we are we always learn something interesting. It seems as though learning is an unpreventable attribute. The following is a quote that goes with my theory of learning:


"Intellectual growth should commence at birth and cease only at death."


The author makes the quote really short and simple in order to make the quote inspirational. I also, really like how the quote makes you thing about life because no one should stop learning until they die. He also uses vivid words instead of simple words to make the quote make the reader think about it.

Young Noah Quote, "The Notebook"

There is a wide range of love movies but out of all those movies my favorite love story was the one about the Notebook. I feel as though I share that kind of Allie and Noah bond with someone. I can say the bond is pretty hard to maintain because you do not want to give up on one another when the times get real tough. However, you try really hard to make it work because you know that you both deserve to be with each other, even if you cannot stand one another. The following is my favorite quote that young Noah says to young Allie:








"So it's not gonna be easy. It's going to be really hard; we're gonna have to work at this everyday, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, forever, everyday. You and me... everyday."






The author uses a long sentence in between the quote to give a very vivid description. They also use a lot of commas in order to make the quote seem more dramatic and meaningful. I like the use of ellipsis at the ending to add a dramatic effect in order to make the reader feel the meaning of the quote.

Javier Hernandez Quote

There is only one soccer player I have always been a huge fan that is Javier Hernandez. I always admired him even when he was not famous. What really made me fall for him was the way he never allowed the fame to get to his head, he is not like all the other soccer players that lets the fame take over. He never changed and he has remained true to himself and his country (his people). The following quote is my favorite quote that comes from him:

"In my mind I have only one aim and that is to always improve."

The author made the quote short and simple in order to get his point across. I like how the author makes the quote personal because it tells you a little more about him. Also, I like how he creates an illustration about the thoughts that go on in his mind.

Unknown, "Life Gave Me A Little Brother"

I remember when I was little how much I wanted a baby brother. I use to always make wishes whenever I saw a wishing well and I remember how much I never gave up. I was in the 6th grade when my mother came out with the news that she was pregnant. I was so excited and I remember hoping and praying that it would be a boy. The day my mother went to get her ultrasound and the nurse showed us it was a boy, I became so happy because I was finally going to have a baby brother. The following is a poem I would like to dedicate to my baby brother:







"Life gave me a little brother
to teach me about life.
He loves me,
Aggravates me,
and gives me strength and strife.
Thank goodness for my brother
He is as special as can be
Don't mess with my little brother
- or you'll have to mess with me!"

The author uses antithesis an entire sentence to describe what a little brother does and also, too create a pattern to make the poem look and sound nice. I really like the ending of the poem because I always say that to people that mess with my little brother. Also, I do feel that my little brother was sent to me and my family to teach me about life. 

Natasha Niemi, "I Love You"

Majority of us have a younger sibling that we love and adore. My younger sister is someone that I love and adore, she means the world to me even though I do not show it most of the time. I remember when my sister and use to have very nasty arguments and fights, but as we began to grow up those things began to fade and our bond grew closer. The following is a poem that I have dedicated to my younger sister:

"Even though I’m older,

And we often see things differently,
There’s not a single thing
I would not do for you.
No matter where you are
And no matter what you do
I will always be here for you.
You’re my baby sister,
And I love you."

The author uses emotional appeal to get the reader (a little sister) to feel some sort of emotional bond with the person that decided to dedicate the poem. I really like how it gives the details as to what an older sister would do for their younger sister. What made me fall in love with this poem was calling the little sister "baby sister" I always call my sister, my baby sister because she will always be my baby sister no matter.

Chris Brown and Justin Bieber, "Next 2 You"

We all wish and hope that we will one day find someone that remains by our side no matter the situation. We all want that one person that sticks by your side through thick and thin. Most of use will find that he/she later on in life but he/she needs to prove themselves just like Chris Brown and Justin Bieber do. The following is the chorus of the song:


"One day when the sky is falling,
I'll be standing right next to you,
Right next to you.
Nothing will ever come between us,
'Cause I'll be standing right next to you,
Right next to you."


I like how both artist used the situation of "the sky falling" as a predicament because not many friends would stand next to you when the sky is falling. The illustration that was used as well when they say that they'll "be standing right next to you" and how "nothing will ever come between us." The use of the previous phrases that they used to illustrate also help provide emphasis on the fact that no matter what they will always be there.

Dr. Suess Quote

During my senior year I have heard a ton of inspiring quotes. However, I have never heard one just like the one my URI writing teacher Mrs. Morrison had shared with us. It was a quote from Dr. Suess that was her all time favorite, she had explained to us how she chose it for her senior quote because it had a meaning to her. I found the quote to be very inspiring as well. The following is the quote that came from the great mind of Dr. Suess:





I really like the use of repetition on the word "You" because it added emphasis as to who it should inspire which is the person reading the quote. I also liked how he added the suffix "er" to "you" to create "youer" to create a denotation "you" the reader. In simpler words he is trying to say no one is more you than yourself.

Dr. Suess Quote

Most of the time people complain about their troubles. What people really do not see is that all problems have a solution. People tend to let little troubles get in their way of their happiness. However, I never allow my troubles to get in the way because with every negative experience their comes a positive lesson. The following quote pretty much describes how I approach my troubles:


"I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind.
Some come from ahead and some come from behind.
But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see.
Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!”


The rhyming effect that was used really reeled me into the quote, but what made me love it more was the humor within it. I really liked how it explains that troubles come from "ahead" and "behind" meaning that they pretty much come from anywhere. The best part was the "bat" because it is a sort of symbol (tool) one can use to fight back and in this case it was used to fight/scare the troubles away.

All Time Low, "Remembering Sunday"

My first crush dedicated this song to me the first day we met. He believed that the song described me perfectly and how he felt about me. I thought it was pretty weird, but rather sweet because the song did kind of describe the bond we shared as we started to get one another. The following is my favorite verse of the song:


"I don't mean to be a bother,
But have you seen this girl?
She's been running through my dreams
And it's driving me crazy, it seems  
I'm going to ask her to marry me
Even though she doesn't believe in love"

I like how the band used illustration to create an exaggeration about how the boy kept thinking about the girl because she had been "running" through his dreams. I found it pretty funny though how the girl did not believe in love but the boy still wanted to make her his wife. Also, how the band makes the boy not seem like he is being a bother when he actually is because he is becoming madly in love with a girl who probably does not even like or love him.

Rose's Quote, Titanic.

Most boy's believe that us girl's are not easily hurt by the things they say. What they do not know is that everything they say to us remains in our heads for a long time. However, a woman's heart can hold so much. The following quote explains how big a woman's heart really is:

"A woman's heart is an ocean full of secrets."

I really like how they created a comparison of how big a woman's heart is to an ocean. I think that the secrets that fill up a woman's heart are the feelings us females hide most of the time in order for us to not get heart broken or hurt. I felt as though it was giving a hint to guys so that they could explore and get to know a female because they probably have been hurt a lot in there past.

Demi Lovato, from "Give Your Heart A Break."

Many times the boys do not notice the right person when they see or have them right before them. They ignore the feelings they have for a girl because they are blinded by a past love with another girl that hurt them. That is why Demi Lovato writes in her song "Give Your Heart A Break" how a girl should sometimes take a chance to prove themselves to a boy they really like, in order to change his opinion about her and love. The following is my favorite verse in the song:

 

"Now here we are

So close yet so far

When will you realize


Baby, I'm not like the rest"

The intended effect that Demi uses is speaking in first person. She does this so that all the girls that connect with her song can relate to it and use it as a reference as to why they should not give up on that certain someone. I really can connect to this verse because it is similar to a situation I went through a while back.

Brittany S. Wright, My Parents

Every single human in this world was brought into this world because of one amazing woman and man, which are called parents. Not many people take time to admire their parents until they lose or need them. However, I have always made time to admire both my parents even after everything they have put me through because they deserve every inch admiration from their child, which is me. That is why I decided to dedicate this poem to them both:

"You are both special in every way,
Encouraging me more & more each passing day.

You both are the reason why I'm so strong,
With you two a the helm not a thing could go wrong.

You've both helped me through many trials & tribulations,

You've made things better in every situation.

Thank you both for always being there,
And showing me that you truly care.

Words could never explain how I feel about you,
But I hope you know that I truly love you two!"

The interesting effect that is used within the poem is rhyming, which is what make the poem sound so sweet and meaningful. I really liked how the poem ended with "I truly love you two!" because they mean "two" as in parents, but one can also take it as "too." This poem really illustrates how I feel towards my parents because there are no words that could ever explain how I feel about them both.

One Direction, from "Gotta Be You."

I am attracted to hot boy bands, especially when they are a British boy band, such as One Direction. What got me into their music was not just their attractiveness, but their ways of illustrating love from the male's point of view. What got me even more hooked was their beats to the songs and how every song has a different style. The following is my favorite verse from the song:

"Girl I see it in your eyes you're disappointed

'Cause I'm the foolish one that you anointed with your heart

I tore it apart

And girl what a mess I made upon your innocence

And no woman in the world deserves this

But here I am asking you for one more chance."

The interesting effect of the lyrics that was used to make the song catchy was the use of rhymes. "Girl" and "I" lead me to think that this was an apology to a girl that got her heart broken by a boy. Later on, the boy realized that he toyed with the wrong girl's heart, that is why he is asking "for one more chance."
